TCP/IP Configuration
Every one of you must know what TCP/IP what all is about. But in this blog I will only brief out what is TCP/IP.
TCP/IP was firstly introduced by US Department of Defense in their project known as Advance Research Project Agency. TCP/IP is a set of protocol that is required to allowed computer to communicate and share information among computer and the network. TCP/IP protocol today is available in PCs, UNIX workstations, minicomputers, Macintosh computers and mainframes. With this TCP/IP has enabled the connectivity among the multimillions of computers, commercial network and the internet.
Basically, TCP/IP operation required the pc IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, domain name server (DNS) information and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) in order to be functioning. You will need to use PING command to test it functional. You need to ping you local back address, IP address of host computer, default gate-way and remote destination IP address Be patient, you learn more about the configuration, may be for rest of your live, if you that network expert as you career.
